Wearable device for monitoring toxic and explosive gases
The project stems from the need to ensure worker safety in hazardous environments, such as chemical plants, construction sites, or confined spaces. This developed wearable, autonomous device can detect toxic gases (NOx, CO, H₂S) and explosive gases (LPG, methane) in real time, providing immediate alerts in case of danger.
The system also integrates a “man down” function and can be connected to smartphones and the cloud to monitor vital parameters and environmental conditions over time and space.
At the same time, an advanced test and calibration bench was developed to ensure the reliability, accuracy, and durability of the sensors.
The result is an innovative prototype designed to increase operator safety and improve prevention in high-risk work environments.
